Most kitchen lighting is an afterthought. You flip on the overhead light, and the counters still end up shadowy right where you're chopping, prepping, and plating. It's one of those things you live with for years - until you finally fix it.

Undercabinet lighting is one of the simplest electrical upgrades we do, and honestly, the results speak louder than just about anything else. The light runs directly underneath the upper cabinets and washes the countertop in a clean, even glow. No more squinting. No more shadows falling exactly where you need to see most.

What we love about this type of work is how much it changes the feel of the whole space - not just the function. These kitchens already had great bones. Nice cabinetry, solid countertops, clean backsplash tile. But the undercabinet lighting tied it all together. It makes the backsplash pop. It gives the counters a finished, intentional look. It's the kind of detail that feels like it was always supposed to be there.

The electrical side of this is handled cleanly too. Outlets properly placed along the backsplash wall, wiring tucked away, nothing exposed or messy. That's the part a lot of people don't think about until they're staring at a tangle of cords or a poorly placed switch. We handle fixtures, switches, and outlets as part of these installs so the whole thing is done right from the start - not pieced together.

If your kitchen feels darker than it should, undercabinet lighting is worth looking into. It's a targeted upgrade with an impact way bigger than the work involved.
